The DreamStation Auto CPAP device is a modern looking machine with many advanced features to increase therapy effectiveness and comfort. Advanced data can be viewed on the machine's screen, downloaded from the supplied SD card, or viewed via Bluetooth on the DreamMapper app on compatible devices. This is an auto-adjustment machine that automatically adjusts the pressure, sometimes panting throughout the night, to provide the optimum pressure needed.

Stylish, User-Friendly Design with Color Screen

The DreamStation Auto CPAP Device is in a stylish white color and measures 19.3cm x 15.7cm x 8.4cm and weighs approximately 1300 grams, making it smaller and lighter compared to Respironics System One models. It has a front-facing color display with a large dial for navigating the menus. Menus and settings have been tweaked and changed by searching and turning the dial as needed. An ambient light sensor on the top of the device allows the machine to adjust the screen brightness based on the light levels in the room. DreamStation Auto includes tray style filters that slide easily in and out of the machine for cleaning and replacement. The darker blue filter is a reusable filter that needs to be washed regularly, and the light blue is a disposable filter that needs to be changed every 30 days or more as it gets dirty.

Automatic Adjustment of Pressure and Opti-Start Technology

DreamStation Auto CPAP monitors the user throughout the night to provide the pressures they need when events occur. The device remains at the lower pressure of the auto-adjustment range and if an event is detected it will increase the pressure to the upper pressure of the range to support the airway. When Opti-Start is active, the device starts therapy at 90% of the pressure reached in the previous session to eliminate persistent events that may occur at the start of therapy.

DreamStation Heated Humidifier and Heated Hose (Optional)

The DreamStation Heated Humidifier, an integrated heated humidifier for use with the DreamStation Auto CPAP, is available for additional purchase. The heated humidifier connects directly to the machine and features dry box technology to reduce the chance of water entering the machine from the humidifier. The water tank is dishwasher safe and is designed to be easily removed for cleaning and filling. The chamber fits inside the humidifier and can be lifted straight from the humidifier with the lid open and snaps back in and the lid closes to be ready for use again.

The humidifier can be set in a standard heating mode that provides constant heat levels throughout the night with the humidifier and heated tube with temperature settings 0 to 5 with 0 off and 5 the highest temperature. Adaptive mode is also available, which monitors ambient humidity and automatically adjusts heat levels throughout the night to ensure optimum humidity. Preheating will warm up the humidifier for up to 30 minutes before starting treatment. The DreamStation Heated Tubing is also available for additional purchase to further increase therapy comfort by retaining the heat and moisture in the therapy air down to the mask. If the humidifier is not used, the unheated tube and the heated tube can be connected directly to the machine.

Advanced Features

DreamStation Auto CPAP includes many advanced features to help the user monitor and monitor therapy activity. Some of the features used together are:

SmartRamp: Unlike a traditional ramp that continuously increases pressure over a period of time, SmartRamp will monitor the user and increase pressure only when an event occurs. If an event is required during SmartRamp that requires the lowest pressure of the APAP series, the ramp will be concluded. A conventional ramp is also available if requested. The APAP therapy interval must be greater than 4 cm H2O for the ramp to be used.

Advanced Data Displayed: The machine will display advanced data such as AHI, Periodic Breathing, Leak Rate, and Therapy Hours on the screen. It will also show the pressure of the machine at or below 90% of the time used for Opti-Start.

Mask Fit Control: This feature will provide airflow to the mask and screen when a leak is detected in the mask. Once the mask is adjusted, the machine's display will update if a proper fit is detected.

Auto On/Off: DreamStation APAP can detect if the user has masked on or off, and if it is enablede starts or stops therapy accordingly.

Bluetooth Connection: Bluetooth is built-in to connect to DreamMapper to monitor therapy. The DreamMapper app is available on compatible iOS (iOS 6 or newer) and Android devices (2.2 or newer) and can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store or Google Play Store.

Regular Alerts / Reminders: The machine will display a reminder to change the filter every 30 days. A-Flex Pressure Relief

A-Flex helps mimic natural breathing patterns by reducing pressure during exhalation. The transition between inhalation and exhalation is also smoothed so that breathing becomes more natural. While the machine adjusts the pressure overnight, the A-Flex also adjusts that the desired amount of relief for exhalation is always delivered.
