Easy-Breathe Technology is ResMed’s patented pneumatic system that delivers greater patient comfort and device quality. Powered by a unique low-inertia, dual-stage motor that rotates at dramatically lower speeds than motors in traditional devices, this technology delivers whisper-quiet comfort and unprecedented pressure stability.

Setting a new industry standard in quiet therapy and comfort, the dual-stage motor delivers superior performance at half the effort, cutting device noise to less than 25dB and prolonging the life of the device. This makes S8 Series II with Easy-Breathe Technology the quietest compact range available.

Pressure stability

Easy-Breathe Technology’s low-inertia motor is programmed with highly-sophisticated software that enables refined responses to patient breathing patterns. With Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR), this means triggering is smoother so patients experience more natural breathing during treatment. By reducing pressure swings, Easy-Breathe Technology achieves superior patient-device synchrony, increased patient comfort and, ultimately, improved compliance.
