softPAP Respiratory Facilitator

It is designed for patients who find it uncomfortable to breathe against high pressure in 1 and 2 stages. softPAP reduces the pressure on the transition to exhalation and allows you to exhale more easily. It is suitable for patients who have difficulty in breathing at low pressure in the 3rd stage. During inhalation, the pressure is slightly increased. You can set the softPAP breathing relief level or disable it if you do not want to use the function.

softSTART - Ramp

It facilitates acclimatization to the ventilation pressure during the falling asleep phase. You can set a different pressure than the therapy pressure prescribed for you. During switch-on, the therapy device sets this softSTART pressure. The pressure then rises slowly within the set time or drops to the therapy level after the predetermined time has elapsed (45 minutes maximum). This function is suitable for patients who perceive high or low pressure as disturbing in waking state and cannot fall asleep.

This function is valid only in CPAP and APAP mode. If this function cannot be selected in one of these modes, your physician or authorized dealer should activate this function.

autoSTART - Auto Start/Stop

If autoSTART is enabled (ON), the device automatically starts exhaling (> 0.5 hPa) when you put on the mask and breathe in, and automatically turns off 5 seconds after the mask is removed (breathing is interrupted). To disable this function, set the autoSTART function to OFF.
